From Addict to Artist
There was a time, not long ago, when my life was defined by addiction. It was a battle that pressed in hard—shaping my thoughts, my habits, and the direction I was heading. But nearly four years ago, something began to change. Not all at once, and not without difficulty, but steadily and unmistakably—God, the Creator, met me in that place and, by His unutterable grace, began to pull me out and set my life on something firm and true.
Out of that mercy, Anchored Soul Art was born.
Art became more than a creative outlet for me. It became a way of reordering what was once disordered under the hand of the One who brings light out of darkness. Where there had been chaos, there was now intention. Where there had been noise, there was now stillness. What started as something deeply personal has grown into something I now feel called to share.
Anchored Soul Art exists to bring quiet, sacred beauty into everyday spaces—beauty that does not merely decorate, but gently testifies. Each piece is created with the hope that it would invite reflection, slow the pace of a restless mind, and point, however subtly, to what is eternal. In a world that constantly pulls our attention in every direction, this work is meant to serve as a kind of anchor.
This journey—from addiction to artistry—is not ultimately a story about self-reinvention, but about rescue. It is about a life redirected by grace. And now, it is about using what has been given to serve others—placing something lasting, meaningful, and quietly powerful into the spaces people live their lives in, echoing the truth that even the most restless soul can be made steady.
