Here, Captivity is personified as a dark warrior — a figure wrought from shadow, armored in pride, and girded with chains meant to enslave the souls of men. Yet now those same chains turn against him, transformed into radiant bonds of light. The enslaver becomes the enslaved; the tyrant of darkness is taken captive by the brilliance of divine power.
